Sound insulation mortar is composed of cement, quartz sand, sound insulation fillers, and additives mixed in specified proportions. It is an ideal building sound insulation material and currently a preferred sound insulation product for floor slabs.

1. Sound Insulation Mortar

Product Features: This product is uniformly mixed via automatic metering and stirring, consisting of cement, quartz sand, sound insulation fillers, and high-quality admixtures. It boasts excellent workability, outstanding sound insulation performance, strong adhesion to substrates, low shrinkage, and easy construction—ready for use immediately after adding water. It offers stable quality, convenient construction, low consumption, and resists cracking and hollowing. During application, add an appropriate amount of water as needed, stir evenly, and apply to walls to form a sound insulation layer approximately 30mm thick. When sound waves reach the layer, the damping materials and elastic components in the mortar absorb or compress to store energy, thereby blocking the sound waves or converting them into thermal energy.

Difference between Sound Insulation Mortar and Cement Mortar

Formula: Cement, quartz sand, sound insulation fillers, additives, etc.

Additional Advantages: Convenient construction and high cost-effectiveness. Compared with traditional wall sound insulation methods, it reduces costs by nearly 70% without increasing the cost of the main project structure. It is less prone to forming sound bridges, features high strength, and avoids damage or cracking.

Application Scope:Suitable for plastering blocks in buildings and structures. Applicable to sound insulation-required areas or spaces in residences, office buildings, schools, hospitals, hotels, libraries, and other constructions.

Storage: Do not store in flooded or direct sunlight-exposed areas. Stack no more than 8 layers. Take moisture-proof measures for long-term storage.

2. Cement Mortar

Formula: Cement, fine aggregate, and water.

Application Scope: Used for masonry of foundations and walls, as well as indoor and outdoor plastering.

Uses: In construction projects, it serves two primary purposes:

1.Masonry of foundations and walls—as an adhesive for block materials such as rubble and red bricks;

2.Indoor and outdoor plastering.
