Ready-Mixed Mortar Industry Bids Farewell to Workshop-Style Production

China's ready-mixed mortar industry is set to bid farewell to "workshop-style" production and establish a cleaner, greener, and more circular development model. Centering on the supply-side structural reform of the construction industry, it will build a high-tech, modern, and intelligent production system. This was learned by reporters at the 1st China International Ready-Mixed Mortar Equipment Technology Seminar and Summit on Green Production Equipment Manufacturing and Mechanized Construction Technology of Ready-Mixed Mortar.

On January 10th, this seminar, which gathered nearly all elites in the ready-mixed mortar industry, was held in Changsha, Hunan. Hosted by the Ready-Mixed Mortar Branch of China Building Materials Federation, the seminar themed "Innovation-Driven, Quality-First, Green Development, and Structural Optimization".

Attendees included Xu Ming (Director of Jiangsu Bulk Cement Office), Wang Xiang (Deputy Director of Jiangsu Bulk Cement Office), Wu Yuhua (Director of Shanxi Bulk Cement Office), Tan Aibing (Deputy Director of Shandong Bulk Cement Office), Wang Tiejun (Deputy Director of Hebei Bulk Cement Office), Zhao Chengwu (Director of Taiyuan Bulk Cement Office), Zhai Shixin (Director of Handan Bulk Cement Office), Lei Xiaohui (Director of Tangshan Bulk Cement Office), An Xizhi (Deputy Director of Shijiazhuang Bulk Cement Office), Yue Jian (Deputy Director of Cangzhou Bulk Cement Office), Shi Jinglin (Director of National Building Materials Industry Standard Quota Station), and Ma Hansheng (Senior Consultant of Ready-Mixed Mortar Branch). The seminar was presided over by Guo Xi, Secretary-General of the Ready-Mixed Mortar Branch.

Practicing "Made in China 2025"

Also in attendance were Long Guojian (Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, former Vice Chairman of Hunan Provincial Political Consultative Conference, and Director of Changsha Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd.), He Faliang (Deputy General Manager of Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.), Qian Xiaoqian (Professor of School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Zhejiang University), and Xing Ronghua (Vice President of Production Supply Chain at the China Group Headquarters of Nippon Paint (China) Co., Ltd.).

Nearly 300 participants from domestic and international upstream and downstream industrial chains attended the seminar, including large ready-mixed mortar production enterprises, equipment manufacturers, mobile silo manufacturers, mechanized construction enterprises, packaging and logistics companies, construction enterprises, supervision institutions, design and research institutes, and universities.

"Made in China 2025" and "Industry 4.0" were the key topics of the seminar. Long Guojian stated that Zoomlion has been developing its products in line with the Industry 4.0 concept, actively practicing the development requirements of "Made in China 2025", and striving to launch high-quality equipment that meets the requirements of the times for China's and international ready-mixed mortar industries. In the future, Zoomlion will work more closely with the industry to continuously improve product application efficiency and jointly promote industrial upgrading.

In-Depth Interpretation of the Industry "Code"

During the seminar, representatives discussed China's first national mandatory standard for ready-mixed mortar production lines - Design Code for Dry-Mixed Mortar Production Lines (hereinafter referred to as the "Code"). The Code was led by the Ready-Mixed Mortar Branch, co-edited by Beijing Building Materials Science Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Changzhou Institute of Building Science Group Co., Ltd., and jointly participated by more than ten large domestic equipment manufacturing enterprises.

Shi Jinglin, Director of the National Building Materials Industry Standard Quota Station, pointed out that the Code points out the direction for the construction of ready-mixed mortar production lines in the future: establishing a cleaner, greener, and more circular production process, and building a high-tech, modern, and intelligent production system centered on the supply-side structural reform of the construction industry. This will subvert the previous impression of "workshop-style" production in the ready-mixed mortar industry. The establishment of these production processes and systems will better meet the development requirements of the construction industry in the future and reflect the industry's improvement driven by science and technology.

Zhang Yinxiang, Director of Beijing Building Materials Science Research Institute Co., Ltd., Director of Beijing Ready-Mixed Mortar Engineering Technology Research Center, and Deputy Chief Engineer of Beijing Jinyu Mortar Co., Ltd., interpreted the Code in detail as the chief editor. Zhang Zongchao, Production Equipment Manager of Changzhou Institute of Building Science Group Co., Ltd. (another co-editor of the Code), gave a speech titled "Green Win-Win - The Development Path of Mortar".

Wu Mantian, Product Director of m-tec China Business Department of Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co., Ltd., gave a speech titled "Mortar Quality and Economic Benefits", focusing on how high-quality mortar can bring more economic benefits to enterprises in the market. Xiong Hai, General Manager of Sany Kuai'erju Marketing Service Company, talked about how Sany Heavy Industry promotes national housing industrialization in response to the hot topic of housing industrialization in the construction industry in recent years. Zhou Wei, Marketing Director of Fujian South Road Machinery Co., Ltd., shared on the topic of "Overall Building Materials Solutions". Sun Hui, General Manager of Hangzhou Motai Technology Co., Ltd., explained to the participants how to evaluate the industrial development pattern of ready-mixed mortar and analyzed the future industry changes.

Honorary Awarding

Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Motai Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Jinyu Mortar Co., Ltd., Dongguan Yishibao Building Materials Co., Ltd., PFT China, and Zhejiang Yisen Technology Co., Ltd. were awarded the title of "Equipment Manufacturing Training Base of China Ready-Mixed Mortar Industry".

He Faliang, Deputy General Manager of Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (the main organizer of the seminar), stated that as a national equipment manufacturing enterprise, Sany Heavy Industry will continue to work with upstream and downstream industries to build a complete, efficient, and environmentally friendly industrial chain system, promote the early realization of "Made in China 2025", and help the transformation and upgrading of the ready-mixed mortar industry.
