Anti-crack mortar is widely used for internal and external walls of various buildings. It is formulated by mixing cement mortar anti-cracking agents, polymer emulsions, admixtures, and water in specific proportions, designed to accommodate certain deformations and prevent cracking. Construction Process of Anti-Crack Mortar
1. Substrate Preparation
Remove stains from the wall surface to ensure it is clean. The surface of the insulation board should be kept as clean and flat as possible; sand with coarse sandpaper if necessary.
Compact the insulation boards tightly. Level any gaps between boards using rubber powder polystyrene granule insulation mortar.
2. Material Preparation
Mix the mortar powder with water strictly according to the recommended water-cement ratio.
Stir thoroughly with an electric mixer or manual mixer until the mixture is uniform and free of lumps.
Let the mixed mortar stand for 3 minutes, then stir again before use.
The prepared mortar must be used within 2 hours. Do not reuse caked or unused mortar, even if re-stirred.
3. Application
Use a stainless steel trowel to apply and press the anti-crack mortar onto the insulation board.
Embed the glass fiber mesh into the mortar and smooth the surface. Overlap the joints of the mesh by 10cm (3.9 inches) to ensure full coverage.
The glass fiber mesh must be completely embedded in the mortar, with the total thickness of the fiber-reinforced surface layer being approximately 2-5mm.
For wall construction, either dot bonding or thin-layer bonding can be adopted. Press firmly to achieve a flat surface.
Reference Consumption: 3-5 kg per square meter.
Precautions for Anti-Crack Mortar
1.Do not add any additional admixtures during construction. Strictly control the water-cement ratio and plastering time as required.
2.If the substrate is highly alkaline or excessively dry (prone to water absorption), spray a small amount of water to moisten it or apply a wetting agent before construction.
3.During transportation, protect the mortar from moisture, rain, and direct sunlight.
4.Store the mortar at a temperature above 5℃. Keep it in a dry place to avoid dampness during storage.
5.Prepare only the amount of mortar needed for immediate use. Never reuse caked or unused mortar.
6.The recommended construction ambient temperature is 5~35℃. Take cooling measures if the temperature exceeds 35℃, and provide shade from direct sunlight.
7.Clean construction tools and mixing equipment immediately after each use.
